You’re missing the point. It’s not an educational film. The point is to tell the human story and prompt action, in this case it’s spend time doing more reading and learning.
The art of teaching comes in many forms. Success is determined by how many people learn. You have to view this from a pragmatic side.
Your doc can have all the information in the world. It’s useless if no one watches it, or worse if they watch it and ignore it.

I don’t care if it’s a 30 minute movie.
Moore could have said A LOT more, in less time, if he wanted to.
There’s a 47 minute documentary called ‘Money as Debt’ which does far more to explain what’s going on than Moore does.

Can’t wait to see …
Can’t wait to see it. I love Michael Moore.

It’s a 90 minutes …
It’s a 90 minutes movie. You can only do so much in that time. The idea is to plant the seed and have people discover the truth on their own.
That is, the only way people will wake up and act.

I find it funny …
I find it funny that when people who make 20k and decide to buy a house (cause it’s the American way), they are being called idiots and economy wreckers and all sorts of names. And yet when people heading those banks making much more decide to do somekind of “subprime” voodoo, they are defended as well – the defenders of the system.
Both bankers and homeowners were taking unnecessary risks. Yet one party is tarred and the other is tarred but not without parting shots and golden parachutes.

You don’t need to …
You don’t need to apologize.
However you’ve misinterpreted the metaphor.
I wasn’t referring to capitalism.
I was referring to a global financial network that functions in many nations, including China.
Without going into a lot of detail, the fact that Moore makes no mention whatsoever of the Federal Reserve, and the role it plays in US and global economics, is astounding.
It is an enormous, glaring omission, which leaves me highly suspicious of Moore’s intentions.

Yeah, but …
Yeah, but capitalism is not just a plant, it’s a jungle.
This movie is more of a first step in showing people that there are poisonous plants out there that need to be unrooted.
Sure, its capitalism and everyone should know about it, but sadly some people still don’t see the truth of the world we live in – which may be changed by this film.
Sorry, didn’t really keep your metaphor going in that last sentence.

Re: shawakwak
Sorry, but I am totally unapologetic in these matters.
Lies mixed with truth are more dangerous than pure lies.
Moore brings up valid points and arguments, but fails to dig up the poisonous plant from the roots.
He just clips the leaves.

Re: LicentiousSlut
Your comments are so PROFOUNDLY ignorant, that I’m almost at a loss for words.
If you still see the world in terms of Democrat vs. Republican, there is little to no hope for you.
“The military protects us.” ?!?!
“doing debt financing” ?!?!
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

I’m not going to …
I’m not going to disagree with most of what you said, except Michael Moore does donate a large portion of his money and time to charities. In a sea of entertainment that brings you brain numbing nonsense like Hanna Montana.
Surely you must give the man some credit for at least trying to tell a story about the err so called American Dream.

Re: drgreendick
If you think this movie was excellent, than you have no idea how bad things really are.
The well of corruption is 100 ft. deep, and as usual, Michael Moore goes in about 5 ft.
This movie is a pathetic example of diluted and misleading ‘revolutionary’ spirit.
Michael Moore is mainstream permissible dissent, devised to distract people from discovering for themselves how deep the rabbit hole really is.
Heartbreaking.
