So you're saying socialism is not evil? Look at what socialism has done the old Soviet Union. The government spent all of their wealth (which belongs to the people) in weapons, leaving their citizens in hunger and shivering in cold winters. You call that equal share? You can't eat a rifle can you? No American will listen to your communist crap. You owe capitalism for the computer and Yahoo! you're using to rant about anything you hate. Without capitalism, all you can do is shut up. Capitalism drives people to be competitive, innovative and to work harder. Socialism benefits the lazy people because they still get an equal share despite of just doing less or not doing anything at all. And that's just plain stupid. Why would I share my wealth out my hard work to others who did poorly or never did anything at all?

I don’t think that you can rightfully teach that capitalism is evil. However, you can teach that a major driving force behind capitalism, greed, is evil. And that can be backed up by many verses in the bible of many religions.

I don’t believe that a full socialist system is necessary. I believe that a socialist/capitalist system would be the ultimate. Government owned businesses operating side by side with private businesses. That would remove a lot of the greed from private businesses because then they would have to compete with the government business that doesn’t have a multimillion dollar salary CEO.

HAHAHA you can't because it's not true. We love our country because we have freedom. Even if we are born poor we can still get a good job if we try.

It won’t be easy. There’s a good line by a song by Paul Simon "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest". Unfortunately, when we settle into a belief system, whether it be political or religious,
it can be very difficult to change.

In the case of politics, there are a number of factors that make people resistant to examining capitalism:(1) They will cite examples like U.S.S.R., where socialism could not have been less than what Karl Marx
intended;(2) People don’t realize that there are socialist democracies, so there is a tendency to identify socialism with totalitarianism, and (3) it is in the best interest of capitalists, who reap the a significant
percentage of wealth, to keep people in a state of fear by brain washing them.
Talking to someone about socialism intelligently is like talking to a fundamental Christian about evolution. Each topic is very threatening to the respective groups of people. The fact that they might be either true, or beneficial is kind of irrelevant to the mindset of someone who is absolutely certain he is right.

The right wing effectively used fear to get our previous president elected in two consecutive terms. They tried this last time, but,
thankfully, people were fed up enough with the status quo, so they
refused to listen.
I do not know when, if ever, people will learn to use reason to overcome stereotypes and fear.

I guess I didn’t really answer the question. Maybe people like you and me can help a bit

you can’t i asked a simple question of what is wrong with being anti american, i got 113 answers 90 of which were screw you, move to another country, glad you don’t live here. you cannot challenge those who will not listen to an argument.

chaves has it right, his people love him, he has been voted in so many times the last at 63%, unlike the american claims that he leads a dictatorship.
