What should ufologists make of military presence?
Have you seen the UFO Hunter episode just shown on the History Channel. They have criteria for an area to be proclaimed a UFO hotspot. I am wandering what to make of the criteria of there being a military post nearby. Maybe they see the post as being there to investigate UFOs. But could they be the origin of the UFOs. UFOs tend to be military aircraft that are experimental and secret. Correct?
yeah, a lot of military aircraft are spotted and called UFOs. people want it to be aliens though, so they refuse to believe it might be something they just haven’t seen before.

what other military careers are there besides the us armed forces ?
i want to get into the army, but i have asthma. i would like to start a military / security type career . is there a way i can get the training and preparation a solider would receive in the us armed forces. someone told me to check out mercenary or private military contractors .2 questions >1. how do i become a mercenary or a private military contractor ? and 2. is there any other military type careers out there ?
Unfortunately alot of "mercs" won’t take someone with asthma. Blackwater and a few other contractors won’t touch you unless your physically fit. If your last asthma attack has not been within the last 5 years, you may be eligible for the military. You will have to get a cardiopulminary exam by your own physician and submit that paperwork to your local recruiter. To be honest with you, most recruiters will brush you off, so make sure you follow up if the above is true. If you still have asthma and take an inhaler, unfortunately you will not be fighting.
How do military officers find time to advance their education and get doctorates and masters?
Its suggested that you advance your degree in order to get promoted further, how can you do this being full time military?
easy. go to postgrad school as a duty station.. the Masters degree is paid for on the military’s dime and time.
NPS in Monterey is but one option. AF and I thinkthe Armyhas their own Post Grad school as well. n NPS also offers the option of Doctorates as well, but that is VERY Hard to get.. out of the several hundred or so graduating with DH,, 3 were doctoral candidates.

What happens when a woman in the military gets pregnant?
I lived on a military base for two years, and this never came up, to my knowledge. Are women allowed to get pregnant while in the military? Is it encouraged? Discouraged? Is there some kind of penalty?
What about women who get pregnant while on tour somewhere in the world? It seems like there would be a lot of women in Iraq getting pregnant just to go home. Or maybe there’s a ban on sex in a war zone.
I’m really curious now, I’ve never heard anyone discuss this. Any military people out there have answers for me?
If you get pregnant while in, they give you a choice to stay in or get out. If you stay in you get 6 weeks of maternity leave to recover. After that you have 6 months to get back into shape.
Pregnancy is neither encouraged or discouraged, they can’t really stop you from having sex if you are at your duty station.
You can get pregnant if you want to, just make sure the guy isn’t married, not in your Chain of Command, or and Officer if you are enlisted. If it was me i would try to make sure I was married first, so you don’t look like a barracks slut.
To get pregnant while deployed is HIGHLY discouraged, as you are not supposed to be having sex over there, you can receive UCMJ (Art 15) for getting pregnant while deployed.
Who would want to have sex in Iraq or Afghanistan there is no privacy.

What US Military branch is best for a full time university student?
I want to join the military, but go to school at the SAME TIME. The benefits will really help me as well as for the fact that I want to serve our country. Im a woman in her first year at a private university. Please let me know which one would let me study and serve at the same time, as well as help me pay for my education. Thanks!
Just be aware that your education is not guaranteed..And it also depends on what your job will be in the military.
I would choose the Air Force..and I would stay clear of the USMC..
What techniques does the military use to strip a person of their pride?
I have heard from several different sources that the military first strips a person of his pride and then rebuilds them up again.
Is this all branches of the military?
How, exactly, do they do it?
I don’t think "pride" is the right word here. The military needs people to work as a unit, not as a bunch of individuals. The purpose of basic military training is to make you quit thinking of yourself first and to adjust your attitude to a military way of thinking…that means honor, duty, commitment, service before self, and the ability to follow orders. All branches do it…but the techniques may vary.
They do it by making sure you are very rushed and learning new and sometimes difficult things every waking moment. The process of applying significant physical and mental stress allows your training/drill instructors to see if you have what it takes to be successful in the military, or to get you out of the military before they spend more money training you.
Watch some movies that deal with military basic training/ocs, like "An Officer and a Gentleman," "Full Metal Jacket," or even the funny ones like "Private Benjamin" to see some specific techniques they might use.
What they do not do to you is torture or abuse you. Yeah, they yell, and you have to march or run or drill or do calesthenics or obstacle courses or whatever…and they tell you you’re a disgrace and you’ll never make it…but they make sure you have time to eat and sleep and they don’t inflict injuries on you (you’re a valuable commodity).
Then, at some point in your training, after you’ve done all kinds of things you may not have thought you could do…when they’ve issued you your dress uniform and you’re on the home stretch…they stop yelling as much…and start telling you how much progress you’ve made…and finally, on graduation day, these people who made your life a living hell for several weeks tell you…sincerely, that they are proud of you and your accomplishment.
It must work…it’s been in use for hundreds of years.
