Anti-Capitalist Islam Is Terrorism Says Fox News?

Posted on June 4th, 2010 by admin in terrorism | 25 Comments »

The Fox News coverage of a conference in Chicago on July 19, 2009, titled the “Fall of Capitalism & Rise of Islam” heavily hyped the story, falsely claiming that Al Qaeda terrorists were openly recruiting there as I show in this video.

The first two Fox News clips come from “Fox and Friends Sunday” broadcast on July 19, 2009.

The clip of reporter Steve Brown comes from the Fox News program “America’s News HQ” also broadcast on July 19, 2009.

The two clips of neo-con superhawk Frank Gaffney are from the Fox News program “America’s Newsroom” broadcast on July 20, 2009.

The clip of the July 20, 2009, interview with Ahmed Rehab, the head of Chicago’s Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) affiliate comes from the website of the local Fox News affiliate station in Chicago at http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/good_day/ahmed_rehab_chicago_council_islamic_relations

The two clips of the interview with the soldier’s mother, Barbara May, comes from the Fox News program “Fox and Friends” broadcast on July 21, 2009.

You can find out more about Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s conference in Chicago on July 19, 2009, titled the “Fall of Capitalism & Rise of Islam,” including the source of the two images I used in my video, at http://www.khilafahconference2009.com/

You can find the text of the federal law prohibiting material support of terrorism from the Cornell University website that I show in my video at http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00002339—A000-.html

You can find Frank Gaffney’s June 9, 2009, Washington Times article asking if Barack Obama is the first Muslim President to which I refer in my video at http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jun/09/americas-first-muslim-president/

And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

What exactly is the patriot act, and is it government terrorism?

Posted on May 19th, 2010 by admin in terrorism | 5 Comments »

From what I’ve heard it’s like governemnt terrorism completely violating rights….

Im more unedcuated on the patriot act than I am educated. Thanks for the help if you choose to help.

99% of what you have heard about the Patriot Act comes form people who have never read it for themselves.

For example – most of the issues with the Act that people claim are unconstitutiona and ‘taking away our freedoms’ were nothing more than the application of law enforcement techniques used to fight organized crime being applied to terrorism.

And it also removes the distinction between supporting domestic and international terrorism. Now – any act where you are knowingly assisting, providing financial assistance, false documents, or any kind of material resource to anybody planning to commit a terrorist act is illegal – no matter whether or not the act occurs in the US or not.

Below is a link to the text of the Act. You should be able to scroll down and find the links to any topic that concerns you and read for yourself what the Act says (then compare this with what the people who are relying on rumor as a basis for their opinions say).

It should be fairly easy for you to discover that most of the people criticizing the act have no clue as to what they are talking about.

Inside Story – Homegrown vs foreign terrorism

Posted on May 18th, 2010 by admin in terrorism | 3 Comments »

Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani-American who has lived in the US for over 10 years, was the mastermind behind the failed car-bomb attack in New York on Saturday. Shahzad is expected to be charged with terrorism acts including to use a weapon of mass destruction, as the debate goes on about al-Qaeda or Taliban involvement. But Shahzad is a US citizen, so how much of a concern is the homegrown terror threat for the US? And what does it take to wipe out this threat, almost a decade after the 9/11 attacks?

What are some examples of war where terrorism was succesfully used as means to achieve goals?

Posted on May 16th, 2010 by admin in terrorism | 5 Comments »

Can anyone think of some conflicts where one side used terrorism, perhaps even justifiably to win a war?

The IRA in the 20’s. Up until that time the Irish would revolt against the British using conventional military tactics every generation or so.

They were often sold out to the British by spies within the ranks and unable to deal with the better trained British forces.

The IRA began targeting Irish that were working with the British for termination as a warning to others. It helped them eventually bring the British to the bargaining table

Obama talks to Russian TV on WW2, terrorism and US adoption ban

Posted on May 11th, 2010 by admin in terrorism | 25 Comments »

In the 1940s, deeply-held ideologies had to be put to one side – for the sole aim of saving the world from the horrors of Nazism. Although decades of Cold War division were to follow, U.S. President Barack Obama told Russian political commentator Sergey Brilev, that the Soviet role should not be under-estimated.
