Hi i’m new to this. I am engaged to a military guy. We connected while he was here in the states. I never imagined we would get serious or that i would have to experience him being over seas. We went our separate ways before he was deployed. I didn’t know he was leaving. He never mentioned it. Well, he looked me up after he was gone. We reconnected & got serious. Now we’re engaged. My thing is, I’m having such a hard time dealing with this. This song helps some. Can someone please help me?

just watched my love get on a plane and go back to duty again. as hard as it is, all the people i know are in the same position and i hold that one common ground if nothing else. we hold strong. we face the new long streach of time w/out them. its the little things like their glances, a kiss in the morning, the feel of being in their arms, that we despratly hold onto till we can see that blissful smile on their face when we greet them home. we have to be harder than a rock till our hearts r home

This is great, I wish there were more like it. It takes a special kind of woman to stay so committed to their husbands while they’re on deployment.
Don’t doubt for a minute the great deal of comfort and support your love brings to him. When things start to suck he goes to you in his head, and your love and faith brings him happiness in a place where there is otherwise none.
