How were international relations between Russia and USA when Clinton was president?
how did the two countries manage to meld ?
How will Hillary’s role as SOS continue the close relations between both world powers as during better economic times?
During the Clinton Administration; Russia was under strain economically because of the "Black Market", and the Mob inserting itself into business without the protection of KGB. Heck if truth be known the Mob was made up of ex-KGB Officials, now acting as bullies and enforcers. However; more importantly, Russia was beaten down economically; by the war in Afghanistan was was attempting to heal her wounds.
Relations between the USA and Russian was developing with the hopes of business investors; Pepsi, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and others. During the 1990’s, there existed a respect between both nations. Neither presented a threat viable to exchange nuclear weaponry. In fact more nuclear treaties were signed and executed.

I don’t see any melding yet, it’s possible if a true democracy not a corrupt system takes hold. But Bill C. had the upper-hand back then, now Russia is growing financially from technologies and oil resources, plus weapon sales. I don’t see Hillary as having any impact with any other country except Israel.
Russia was and is our main adversary in the financial and political arena. They are on the rise financially and America is on the way down. America will slip behind China soon and with no manufacturing and suspect schools we’re looking at a complete global economy in the next 25 years. That means they will be our financial equal, military is comparable. A shift from fossil fuels will help the American economy big time, and may propel us into a leadership roll for the next 100 years, we’ll see.
What’s going to be lost with Bush’s poor rating is the outstanding relationships he built with China and Saudi Arabia. Every president will benefit from this in the future. China is Russia’s competitor, from arms to technology, we chose our side.
