How far will 15,500 pesos get me in the dominican republic?

I’m going on vacation for two weeks in the dominican republic, and all together, i think i have about 15,500 pesos. Is that enough money to have a good time there?

Depends if you are staying with Family, living like a dominican or a tourist and a few other things like if you have tranportation while there and if you drink:)

Exchange rate today is 35.35 pesos to one dollar so if you do the math you don’t have a lot of money but if you are staying with family and have meals at home and don’t plan on traveling far you can have a good time. Beer in Tourist area is 70-80 pesos but in Dominican Barios only 40-50 pesos and everything else is cheaper also.

it depends what you’re going to do over there that amount would go by fast thats about 422 dollars that amoutn you could use it all in a day the same wai it could go in a week i would recomend doubling that amount like 1,000 dollars or 30,500 pesos

That is only about 1000 pesos a day. Beer is 80-100 pesos in any bar and hotels are $35 minimum for something very basic.

You can maybe survive on that but you can’t have much fun. Bring an ATM card and have at least $1000 in your bank back home. Running out of money when you are traveling is not fun at all.

That’s about $450 US, not very much money to stay two weeks.

The official exchange rate this morning is 35.543 Pesos to the Dollar, so that would be $436.09.. and then there would be exchange fees on top of that, if applicapable

You’ve already chosen the Dominican Republic, you already have your length of stay and you already have pesos . . . and now you’re thinking about the cost? Huh???

Even assuming your 15,500 pesos doesn’t include accommodations, you won’t be doing much besides enjoying the sunshine with only that amount. I’ve been in the Sosua area for the past 10 days and half of them were rainy days, so you can’t even guarantee the sunshine. I’d certainly try to double that budget if you can. Good luck.
