@ACK365 I loath and … @ACK365 I loath and detest Cheney but you do not have to be in the military to pass judgments. I pass many judgments on BP and I have never been an oilman. By your logic Cenk cannot pass judgment on Cheney (nor can you for that matter) because he has never been a professional politician.
Americans are at … Americans are at far more risk of being killed by some crackhead who wants their wallet and car. This is all fear-mongering, brainwashing politics. Everyone is sooo afraid of terrorists, but criminals pose a bigger threat.
I agree 100%. … I agree 100%. Cheney and these right wing nuts are hurting America. I actually think they don’t want to get the information and that these lies are for a reason. At first I thought it was sociopath. For some I think it is. Thank you for standing up for the professionals. There are so many good people in the FBI. I’m not willing to make that statement on behalf of the CIA, NSA and DHS. I will refrain from pointing out the Franklin case in detail.
Not all the time. … Not all the time. And if we can get info out of them fast it may save lives. Why take the chance. Also these defence lawyers are expensive and the taxpayer has to fund it. The military lawyers are paid anyway use them and let the military handle it.
actually Terrorist … actually Terrorist make deals with us ALL THE TIME case in point the christmas day bomber, who told the FBI info on alQaeda which led to the rrecent capture of AlQaeda’s number 2.
Only when a deal is … Only when a deal is made. Sometimes its less time in jail. Sometimes its a plea bargain with a death sentence. Do you think a terrorist that is willing to kill himself to kill us is going to care whether he lives or dies? There is no sense in arguing with you over this. You probably argue with the man in the mirror when you look at him. Maybe one day one of these vermin will kill one of your loved ones then you maybe you will inderstand. But until then I think it is beyond you.
oh really so the … oh really so the thousands of criminals rotting in jail, and the thousands who have made deals and given up key information to take down even more criminals. ALL werent mirandised, and none of them had lawyers.
Hitchens fans might … Hitchens fans might be surprised to learn he actually volunteered for and was waterboarded. Video on youtube. It’s pretty interesting.
I would love to see … I would love to see Cheney undergo water boarding…when did the US decide to take up the practices of the dark ages ? should we crucify them ? should we put them on the rack or burn em at the stake ? maybe drive match sticks under their finger nails and light them ?? maybe scourge them ? ethics 101 the ends do not justify the means..but the n everyone knows the US is not an ethical nation
That’s right repubs … That’s right repubs, we should tortu…..Er…I mean “ENHANCE” our interrogations.
You repubs are such clowns. So you argue that it’s not torture. Really? What would you call it when someone is physically or psychologically harmed until they answer questions….Which are almost always untrue or unreliable . They will say anything to make the pain end.
and it has been … and it has been further fostered by Obama. the big hinderance was Musharaff(sp?) who is now out of power so the Pakistani government is coorperating with Obama’s administration now. shouldn’t both men take a shared responsibility for this victory? to conservatives if the war on terror goes well it’s not Obama’s victory, it’s someone else’s, if things go wrong though, it’s all Obama’s fault. double stardard hypocrisy.
I am glad they … I am glad they caught the 2nd in command of the Taliban. George W. Bush started a great relationship with the Pakistanis on terrorism. So, this was a great victory for Bush. The man isn’t even in office anymore and he is still keeping this country safe!
The fact is that … The fact is that your completely disregarding the Geneva Convention, a signed petition that basically puts ‘clean’ war into practice.
So first of all, we’re disregarding a pact that we signed, which completely up our foreign diplomacy.
Second of all, we’re telling our enemies out there that we ARE bloodthirsty mongrels who torture those different to us, just as they perceive us as. Conversely, we can’t expect our soldiers to participate in any sort of act of ‘civil’ or ‘tortureless’ war.

Religious …
Religious conservatives – check
Gun enthusiasts – check
Anti-Government – check
Anti-reproductive rights for women – check
Al Quida or Republican? Both are hoping for another attack on the US so they can convince moderates of their world view: Hatred is power.
Republicans destroy the budget when they can to ’starve the beast’, they don’t believe in government and shouldn’t be allowed to run it.
